Douglas Heat Basketball Club is dedicated to delivering a fun, well-organised, and thriving basketball environment for players, families, and the wider Douglas Shire community.
We are proud to be a community-focused club built on teamwork, respect, and a shared passion for basketball. From our youngest players taking their first steps through the Aussie Hoops program, to our senior athletes, coaches, volunteers, and supporters — Douglas Heat is a place where everyone belongs.
Our dedicated volunteers, coaches, and committee members work tirelessly behind the scenes to create a positive experience both on and off the court.
Bringing together regional basketball clubs to compete, basketball workshops with professional athletes and coaches, SheHoops workshops and team building opportunities. We strive to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages skill development, sportsmanship, and lifelong friendships.

Lead teams on and off the court. Share your passion for the game and help players reach their potential.
Team Managers
Keep things running smoothly on game day. Coordinate players, paperwork, and communication for your team.
Canteen & Carnivale
Help out at the canteen or special events. A great way to be part of the action and support the club.
Referees & Scorers
Keep the game fair and flowing. Training provided — no experience necessary to get started.
